People’s Economy Lab is a small organization with big dreams. We’re fiscally sponsored. We only have five team members, most working part-time. But there’s more to us than that. We are part of a network of organizations and individuals throughout Washington State who are all working toward a Just Transition to a regenerative economy together, even if some of us may not use the words “Just Transition.” Together we change what’s possible, a shift from the economy we know, to the economy we really need.
This report is a record of People’s Economy Lab’s work and accomplishments over the past three years (2020-2022), which we could not have accomplished without our community.
In 2023, we are undertaking a strategic and operational planning process to clarify our role in advancing a Just Transition in Washington State and improve our organizational infrastructure to support BIPOC communities and new economy leaders. We hope this report will help us ground that process, establishing a firm jumping-off point for the next three years and beyond.
