Call for Portfolios: Artwork for People’s Economy Lab Swag

You are currently viewing Call for Portfolios: Artwork for People’s Economy Lab Swag

People’s Economy Lab envisions an economy that serves people, instead of people serving the economy. Where community and worker-owned businesses meet local needs. Where the government is driven by participation instead of partisan politics. Where investing means closing the racial wealth gap instead of making the rich richer.

People’s Economy Lab is looking for a Washington-based artist to create imagery that evokes this vision. The imagery will be used for PEL swag, which could include t-shirts, hoodies, tote bags, stickers, and/or other items. The swag will be given as gifts to donors, speakers at events, and other contributors to the People’s Economy Lab Network. It will also be sold through a Worx Printing Cooperative online shop.

We hope that when people see this imagery out in the world, it will pique their curiosity and inspire them to learn more about the solidarity economy movement and People’s Economy Lab.

The imagery should work well in black and white, as well as up to four colors, for ease of printing. It can include text.

We have a budget of $2000 to pay the artist for this work, including an initial visioning conversation with the PEL team, concept sketches, edits, and final .ai and/or .png design files. The artist will retain copyright with license to People’s Economy Lab to use the artwork in perpetuity.

Please note: We are not interested in AI-generated artwork for this project.
